I had to include Daddy RJ in this post’s title because not only is he as hands-on with his kids that his work can pass for a mom’s (he ties his daughter’s hair like a pro), he also cooks and cleans the house and is just as able to make it in order just like a mommy can.

RJ and Leng Santiago are AJ’s friends from college, and over the years, grew to become our closest friends here in Southern California. As most people may relate to, life gets so busy that we’re only able to see each other probably just twice a year, if at all. They live in Orange County (64 miles from us), and they’ve been in their current home for about 7 years now.

Mommy Leng is a teacher and works in her kids’ school. She is grateful for the privilege of seeing her kids in school everyday. Daddy RJ is a nighshift caregiver and feels fortunate to be able to provide for his family, as well as help Mommy Leng with housework during the day.

But apart from these important roles they thrivingly fulfill everyday by His grace, both parents possess such passionate hearts that they feed through their creativity. Leng is a hair & make up artist some weekends, while RJ’s lifelong dream of being a known shoe designer is in the rising. Their passion is evident in their beautiful work below:

More importantly, this couple’s passionate hearts are not only fed just by their creativity. It is made full by their unwavering faith. Their work and designs are beautiful because they’re made with purpose and certainty that God is with them throughout the process.

The same applies to their beautiful family, as well as their home. Their kids are raised to constantly acknowledge God’s amazing work, and their home’s square footage may not be much, but its walls may possibly have seen and heard more love and laughter than a mansion’s.

So, keep an eye (and ear) out for these amazing and talented individuals. God’s cooking up something big through them.
