So my goddaughter, the very first grandchild to both sets of grandparents, our first baby from my oldest sister, just turned 18. Surprisingly, I don’t feel so old as I should, probably because I have my older sisters to deal with that before I do. :)) But that doesn’t stop my heart from overflowing with pride, love and just awe from how this beautiful young lady bloomed so ethereally.

As I’ve shared in my speech for our debutante, what I’m most confident about Ally is that she has God in her heart. And that’s really as ethereal as it gets. Everything follows as long as we acknowledge His work in our lives. Ally, despite having snagged the perfect spoiling spot being the first apo (grandchild), turned out exactly the opposite.

She’s very mature, level-minded, and hands-on with her little brother, and my kids, her cousins. She’s also all about DIY, hence her full involvement in all the preps for her party. She made the beautiful paper flowers backdrop for guests’ picture taking, her own AVP video, the entire playlist, etc, etc. Naturally, with big events such as this, the week before the event was pretty enervating with all the pressure of last minute stressors. But it made the event so much more meaningful, fulfilling and memorable.

P.S. This event was designed by the debutante, the debutante’s mom (my sister), and of course, yours truly. All printables (invitations, thank you tags, table signage, etc.) were done and designed by the author of this post. :))
